1. Frequency and duty cycle
During the lightning perforation process, the initial frequency and duty cycle can be set to a higher value to quickly penetrate the material. However, as time goes by, the frequency and duty cycle need to be gradually reduced to reduce the total energy and avoid the occurrence of explosion holes. The recommended parameter range is an initial frequency of 3000-4000, a duty cycle of 60%, an end frequency of 1000, and a duty cycle of 45%-40%. These parameters can be adjusted according to specific materials and requirements.
2. Other parameter adjustment
In addition to frequency and duty cycle, perforation time and focus position are also key parameters for adjustment. The perforation time should be adjusted according to the material thickness. Thicker materials may require cascade perforation, that is, first perforation, then lightning perforation. It is generally recommended to adjust the focus position slightly downward to keep the nozzle from heating up, which can increase the perforation speed of the metal fiber laser cutting machine.
