1. The cutting torch speed is too slow:

 when the cutting speed is too slow, the cutting torch arc sprayed forward by the cutting torch will form bubbly Metal Deposits - "slow slag" at the bottom of the cutting gap, which will be firmly attached to the metal and difficult to remove.

2. Too fast cutting torch speed

 when the cutting torch cutting speed is too fast, the cutting torch arc lags behind, leaving fast slag, which is easier to remove, but if you want to reduce this phenomenon, you should start from the following aspects

(1) Reduce cutting speed;

(2) Reduce the distance between cutting torch and workpiece;

(3) Increase the oxygen concentration in the protective gas. Note: hot metal is more prone to slag hanging. The slag hanging at the beginning of cutting is relatively small, and the number of slag hanging will increase with the increase of plate temperature. At the same time, compared with other metal materials, low carbon steel is easier to hang slag.

3. Wear and deformation of vulnerable parts will also cause discontinuous slag hanging.

Reasons: A. cutting speed is too fast or too slow, the number of cutting nozzle used is too small, and the cutting oxygen pressure is too low; B. There is excess fuel gas in the preheating flame, and the steel plate surface is rusted or unclean; C. The height between the cutting nozzle and the workpiece is too high and the preheating flame is too strong.

        2. Slag hanging on the cutting section

Phenomenon: there is slag hanging on the cutting section of NC plasma cutting machine, especially in the lower half.

Cause: the alloy content is too high.
