CNC plasma beveling cutting machine is a special equipment for beveling cutting. Beveling is a forming groove of a certain geometric shape processed at the welded part of the weldment according to the process requirements. The quality of beveling processing has an important influence on the welding quality of the plate. Compared with traditional manual beveling cutting, CNC plasma beveling cutting machine can greatly improve production efficiency, reduce material waste, and perfectly guarantee the size and quality of the beveling, thereby reducing the production cost of the enterprise and significantly improving the economic benefits of the enterprise. At present, CNC plasma beveling cutting machine has been widely used in shipyards and engineering machinery manufacturers.

 

According to the processing object, CNC plasma beveling cutting machine can be divided into beveling cutting of pipes and beveling cutting of flat plates. In pipe beveling cutting, plasma is generally required for continuously changing saddle-shaped intersecting line beveling cutting; in flat plate beveling cutting, V-shaped beveling is generally used for continuous CNC plasma beveling cutting, as well as several complex CNC sub-beveling cutting including V, X, Y, and K-shaped beveling that requires two to three times.

 

According to the mechanical structure type, CNC plasma beveling cutting machines can be divided into three types: deflection plus rotation, double deflection, and double rotation.

 

1. Deflection plus rotation: This mechanical structure design is relatively simple, and it has been perfected after years of technical accumulation. However, there is a common problem in this structure, that is, during movement, due to the plasma power supply line and servo motor cable, there will be a certain angle chuck, which is generally between ≥±360 degrees and ≤±720 degrees. Therefore, in continuous cutting, it is sometimes necessary to return to zero rotation; at the same time, when matching the rotating and swinging servo motors and reducers on the mechanical structure, they must be matched appropriately to ensure the running speed of the entire mechanical structure during movement.

 

2. Double deflection: Its structure is relatively complex in terms of mechanical design principles. It can be said that it is an extension and expansion of the first type.

 

3. Double rotation: The typical representative manufacturer is FARLEYLASERLAB groove rotation mechanism of Farley Company. This mechanism is being widely adopted by some new cutting and processing companies. It can currently achieve unlimited rotation. The two rotating axes in its structure form an angle with a certain angle. Therefore, the relationship between the angles in actual operation is not the actual degree we intuitively see. Theoretically, its deflection range is between ±50 degrees.

 

Compared with the above three mechanical structure forms, the first one is more mature in design. The main disadvantage is that it cannot achieve continuous rotation without winding. The second one is mainly because the mechanical design structure is too complex and has high requirements for processing and assembly accuracy. If errors occur in the processing and assembly of parts, it will affect the motion accuracy and processing quality of the cutting machine.
