During the use of fiber laser cutting machine, laser head jitter is a common problem. This phenomenon will affect the accuracy and effect of cutting. To solve this problem, we need to check and adjust from multiple aspects. Here are some ways to solve the jitter problem.

 

1. Calibrate the laser head

 

Before the fiber laser cutting machine starts cutting, first make sure that it is calibrated correctly. Open the height adjustment mirror, find the calibration function, and then calibrate the whole process. During calibration, keep the laser head close to the board surface, keep a distance of about 5 mm to 1 cm, and let the machine stand still to prevent vibration. After successful calibration, save the settings.

 

2. Adjust the sensitivity level

 

If the laser head still jitters after calibration, check the LV (sensitivity level). After calibration, there is usually an automatic adjustment function, and after adjustment, a follow-up gain level will appear. If the fiber laser cutting machine cutting head still jitters, you can manually reduce the sensitivity level. This can be done by adjusting the sensitivity level of fast follow-up and slow follow-up to about 12 levels.

 

3. Check the gas source

 

Checking the gas source is also a very important step. Make sure the gas valve on the gas cylinder is fully open to ensure that the gas flow can keep up. If the gas valve is not fully open, the gas flow cannot keep up, and the fiber laser cutting machine cutting head may also shake.

 

4. Check grounding

 

Check whether the fiber laser cutting machine tool is reliably grounded. First, check whether the grounding wire of the machine tool is connected. There is a grounding wire at the main power supply of the machine tool. Make sure the grounding wire is connected. Because the height of the fiber laser cutting machine cutting head is sensed by capacitance, if the capacitance is too large, or the static electricity of the machine tool is too large, the cutting head may jump up and down, so it is very important to connect the grounding wire.

 

5. Check the focus position and air pressure

 

If a high-power fiber laser cutting machine is used, it is necessary to check whether the focus position is adjusted too high and whether the air pressure is too high.

 

If the focus position is too high, it can be adjusted down appropriately; if the air pressure is too high, it can also be reduced appropriately.

 

6. Check the temperature after cutting and protect the lens

 

After the fiber laser cutting machine is cut, you can touch the cutting part by hand to feel whether it is warm or very hot. If it feels hot, it means that the focus may be too high and needs to be lowered appropriately. At the same time, check whether the protective lens of the fiber laser cutting machine is contaminated. If it is contaminated, the protective lens needs to be replaced.
