Exhaust treatment is usually only carried out locally on the cutting surface, especially the local air flow, so that the local workplace will not be contaminated by harmful substances and maintain a good air environment. Usually, the local exhaust fan unit consists of an air collection hood, an air duct, a purification system and a fan. According to different air collection methods, local exhaust can be divided into fixed local exhaust system and mobile local exhaust system.

Comprehensive ventilation includes natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation. Abroad, natural ventilation is usually used for outdoor CNC plasma cutting machine operations or open-air CNC plasma cutting machines. For indoor operations, mechanical ventilation is typically used. Adequate ventilation, also called dilution ventilation, refers to using clean air to dilute the concentration of harmful substances in indoor air so that the concentration of harmful substances in indoor air does not exceed the high allowable concentration specified by health standards. Fixed local exhaust systems are mainly used in large-scale CNC cutting production workshops. The operating locations and workers' operating methods in these workshops are fixed, and the position of the air collecting hood can be fixed at one time according to the actual situation.  The working status of the mobile local exhaust system is relatively flexible.  Different working attitudes can be adopted according to different working conditions to ensure processing efficiency and operator convenience.  CNC plasma cutting machine flue gas and harmful gas purification systems usually use bag type or electrostatic precipitator combined with adsorbent, which has high processing efficiency and stable working conditions.
