2. In order to melt the surface film, it is necessary to rely on the reflected heat of the laser on the steel plate. If the power is small, the film cannot be cut through; if the power is large, it is easy to radiate and damage the surface of the plate.

3. One-time cutting is very unstable, and the surface film is easily blown up. Obviously, the traditional CO2 laser cutting process cannot achieve the cutting of film-coated stainless steel.

According to the normal idea of cutting, in order to ensure that the coating is not damaged, the coated side is generally processed first, and the side without the coating faces down, and it is best to install a pneumatic device on the side facing down to prevent the machine tool support from scratching the plate. The cutting process is: when cutting, the laser head should be about 10mm away, the power should be lowered, and then the film should be burned once to burn off the protective film in the path, and finally cut.

 

Why should the coated side be cut first? There is a reason for this. If the coated side faces down, then due to the influence of heat, the residue splashed by the fiber laser cutting machine during cutting will adhere to the film, resulting in a rough coated side, and it is difficult to remove the residue attached to it after the film cools down after cutting. Therefore, it is recommended that customers cut the laminated surface first.
